Chapter 1: The train.

" Why the hell did they send me this ticket. There isn't even such a thing!", Skulduggery said confused. The train station that Valkyrie and Skulduggery were standing in was crowded and noisy. Valkyrie had to shout to answer to Skulduggery. "For God  sake Skulduggery. You have been alive for more than 400 years and you haven't read or even SAW Harry Potter. It's ridiculous," she said loudly. Skulduggery shook his head.

"I told you I hate wand magic so i obviously wouldn't read a book wrote buy a witch called J.K Rowling about some boy that went to Hogwarts and some bald guy that screams AVADACADAVRA the whole  Time.", he replied with a firm nod of his head. "Well if you had read this "stupid" book then maybe you would no that 9 and 3/4s is a platform behind a wall between 9 and Ten." Valkyrie explained while leading him to platforms nine and ten. " See you have to walk through the wall!". If Skulduggery had eyes then they would have widened.  " You mean... We have to walk THROUGH the wall?," Skulduggery asked . "yes we do so lets just get it over with." Valkyrie took skulduggery's hand and looked around at the people in the station no one was looking. She jogged slowly towards the wall with skulduggery following her from behind. as soon as she was about a meter away she picked up speed and ran straight into the wall.

The train station on the other side of the wall was busier than the one on the outside. There was children in a cloaks of various colors chasing each other with wands in there hands and there parents shouting after them. Some of the older children waited patiently by the railway waiting for the train to arrive while others jumped up and down with eagerness. " Why the heck are they so exited. They are about to got to school?", asked Valkyrie. " I told you they were a strange bunch on the way here, Valkyrie. you should listen to me. I'm smart you know," Skulduggery explained. "Shut up Skulduggery the trains here."
The train moved slowly into the station Puffing smoke and hooting loudly. It was magnificent. Painted a light maroon and with green strikes here and there Along the side, in golden letters, were the words HOGWARTS EXPRESS. Valkyrie gazed at it dreamily. She had been on a train a good few times but none of them were like this.
"ALL ABOARD THE HOGWARTS EXPRESS! LEAVING IN 6 MINUTES," said the driver as he peeked his head around the side of the Train doors at the front. The 5 large maroon doors on the train slid  open and people in cloaks of all colours loaded onto the train.

Valkyrie and skulduggery were the last to climb upon the train. as soon as the were in the long alleyway lined with doors leading into carriages, the five train doors shut again,  cutting of the sound of the chatting parents. The train slowly left the station and began to pick up speed. Skulduggery spoke, "Come on Valkyrie, lets find some seats."

Valkyrie led the way down the train that seemed endless looking in every window on the doors of the carriages. so far everything was full. They were about half way down the train when they found an empty carriage.  They slid the door open and stepped inside. Valkyrie sat on the couch to the left and Skulduggery to the right. "Well this is comfortable", said skulduggery merrily. "Yeah i suppose", Valkyrie replied. There was a long silence while Valkyrie and skulduggery gazed out the train window  at the fields zooming by.

The train stopped suddenly and Valkyrie Lurched forward and almost fell of her seat. She opened her eyes and yawned. "are we  here, Skulduggery?", Asked Valkyrie sleepily. " yes I think so," he replied. They opened there compartment door to find everyone standing in the hallway. The boy across from Valkyrie and skulduggery smiled at her. She blushed and looked down. When she looked up again everyone was already starting to get of the train. She and skulduggery followed the flow of people towards the top door. Valkyrie could here the gruff voice of an old man saying, "First years  with me, Everyone else you know where to go"
The problem was that skulduggery And Valkyrie didn't know where to go so they just followed some tall people outside thinking that they weren't 1st years. The followed them out of the train and turned then turned left. They could see a huge line of people on front of the tall people. They followed the long flow of people until they came to a long line of horse drawn carraiges. Well they weren't really Horses. more like dragons. They hopped carefully into one and the Dragon horse started moving down the long Alleyway on front of them.

CHAPTER 2 COMING SOON TO YOUR SCREENS.

Prologue.

The owl that sat on the top of his bentley was a light brown in color.  "Get off you stupid bird! your gonna Scratch the roof." Skulduggery stepped closer to the car and flapped his hand ridiculously in the air. "Calm down Skulduggery! it's only an owl... wait why would there be owls in the middle of the day? and especially in This town" Valkyrie looked around roarhaven curiously. " well I don't really give a crap WHY I just want him off" skulduggery manipulated the air and knocked the bird of the car. It flapped its wings, just before it hit the ground, and rose into the air. Skulduggery was about to yell at it to fly away but Valkyrie stopped him. "Wait", she said putting her arm across Skulduggery's mouth. "Whats that on his foot?"

Valkyrie lay out her arm on front of the owl and it flew onto her wrist and curled it't claws around her.  She undid the thread that tied a small envelope onto his leg. The bird made it easy to untie as it lifted it's leg as soon as she touched the string.  As soon as Valkyrie took the envelope from its leg it flew away. Valkyries eyes followed it until she could no longer see it. "Well that was impressive ",Said skulduggery. Valkyrie looked behind her at Skulduggery "It's...It's...addressed to you Skulduggery",  She said shakily.  "Say what now," he said walking over to her and looking over her shoulder at the envelope. Sure enough it bared Skulduggery's name in Golden ink. 

"Read it out for me,"  said skulduggery as he drove out of Roarhaven "the letter?," Asked Valkyrie  "well what else would you read out?", He snapped  " Mabey a newspaper?", she laughed "shut up you ejit and read the letter out"  Valkyrie Opened the envelope carefully, pulled out the piece of paper, unfolded it and began to read:

"Dear Mr. Pleasant, We regret to infrom you that your good friend Professer Crinker has died recently. As you know he is a teacher here at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Professer Crinker has worked with us for the past 4 years, ever since the new subject of Wandless Teaching was introduced.  seen as he died there has been no Wandless teaching lessons and children have been getting alot of free time which is not acceptable Here at Hoggwarts. I would very much appreciate if you, yourself could step in as our wandless teaching Professer, Just untill we find a new full-time teacher. Please consider  this offer and write back as soon as possible. Sorry for this surprising news but what has to be done, has to be done.

Ms. McGonnagall, Headmaster of Hogwarts."

Valkyrie finished. There was a silence in the car for a while untill Valkyrie spoke again ," Wait so there's a Hogwarts!?" " Well yes there is. ", Skulduggery Replied.  " So Harry potter is true!",  said Valkyrie Excitedly

"Yes it is. Hogwarts is a school that practices a different sort of magic than us. They practice Wand magic and we practice wandless magic.  They are a different community to us. we usually have nothing to do with them because they have there own type of sanctuary",  He said Grumpily " And why didn't you tell me this before?", Valkyrie Asked.  "Well to be honest i don't really like wand magic. They are useless without there pieces  of wood. My old friend Crinks Got a job there when they started learning about our magic."

"So are you going to accept the Job.?" ,Valkyrie asked. " Well i suppose Crinks would have wanted me to."

"So its a yes?", She asked eagerly

"Yes i suppose"

"WOOHOO! Were going to Hogwarts." Valkyrie smiled to herself in the passenger seat of the car. "I never thought i would say that."
